Quotes and Poems

If only he/she were just sleeping instead of recharging!

I’ll rise, but I refuse to shine.

One who sleeps under a quilt is comforted by love.

The Man in the Moon looked out of the moon,
Looked out of the moon and said,
“‘Tis time for all children on the earth
To think about getting to bed!”

As I tiptoe into your bedroom each night
To pull up the covers and tuck you in tight,
I linger longer just watching you sleep,
And think of our day and the memories I’ll keep

Hush, my dear, lie still and slumber,
Holy angels guard thy bed!
Heavenly blessings without number
Gently falling on thy head.
~Isaac Watts

by Madeline L’Engle

Goodnight daylight
and playing trains;
goodnight books,
and bread and butter,
and games of make believe,
and brothers and sisters,
and father and mother.
Goodnight, God.
Take care of us while we sleep,
And you have a good night, too.

Sleep is the golden chain that ties health and our bodies together.

“As I tiptoe into your bedroom each night
To pull up the covers and tuck you in tight,
I linger longer just watching you sleep,
And think of our day and the memories I’ll keep

Never stop dreaming, for out of such fragile things come miracles.

The Dream Catcher Lore

The Indians believe that the night air is filled
with dreams both good and bad. The dreamcatcher,
when hung in your place of rest, swinging freely
with the air, catches the dreams as they flow by.
The good dreams know the way, slipping through
the outer holes and slide down the soft feathers
so gently that many times the sleeper does not
know that he/she is dreaming. The bad dreams not
knowing the way, get tangled in the web and
perish with the first light of the new day.

Quotes and Poems

A trophy carries dust, memories last forever.

The memories we collect and give
Brighten our lives as long as we live.

Favorite people, favorite places,
Favorite memories of the past,
These are the joys of a lifetime…
These are the things that last.

Memories are forget-me-nots gathered
along life’s way, pressed close to the
human heart into a perennial bouquet.
~ Clara Smith Reber

Beautiful memories tell our story,
and wrap themselves in ribbons of the heart.

To be in your children’s memories tommorrow,
you have to be in their lives today.

The love in our family flows strong and deep,
leaving us memories to treasure & keep.

Friends are stitched together with memories.

Memories are like a garden carried in the heart.

Memories are like keepsakes…
always to be treasured.

Memories are the key not to the past, but to the future.

Even when it’s cold outside, our memories keep us warm.
