10 Questions about LOVE

These questions will help you think about your relationship and how it’s come together. As you read each one, take the time to write down your thoughts, stories and impressions.

  1. How did you meet? Were you introduced? Who was there? What were you doing? Ws there a spark right away? Who noticed first? Was there a great opening line (or a really bad one)?
  2. How has time changed you? How has your relationship changed? Have you grown? What’s changed about your circumstances? Did you have less money then? Less responsibility? Were those simpler times? Compare those days with your lives today.
  3. What’s brought you closer? Common interests? Common circumstances? (Common enemies?!) What are the issues and activities that get the town of you singing in tune?
  4. Who are you? Describe your tow personalities; one at a time. What are each of you like on your own? How are you similar, and now are you different?
  5. How do you complement each other? Those similarities and differences that you just described – tell how they fit together to make you a stronger couple. What are the two of you like as a couple? If you were both famous, how would the paparazzi blend you tow name together into one of those unbearably cute couple names?
  6. What milestone matter to you? Dating for six months? Married for 40 years? Talk about the landmark events that have marked real tuning points in your relationship. Marriage? Moving? Children? Illnesses/accidents? Successes/big breaks? How has each of these events changed your relationship?
  7. What’s the big dealt? Tell the story of your favourite big event that you’ve experience together. Did you run a marathon together? Was it a mission trip? An inauguration ball? A Dave Matthews concert? Who was with you? Which one of you talked the other into going? What obstacles got in you way? What new experiences opened your eyes? How did it bring you closer as a couple?
  8. What’s a day in your life look like? Map out and record you day form beginning to end. Talk about the little things. How does your true love spoil you? What are the special things you like to do to show you care? What are the unique ways the town of you say, “I love you”?
  9. What have you overcome? Every journey includes some hills to climb. Talk about the challenges you’ve faced in your relationship. Have they been roadblocks thrown up form outside (disapproving families, confliction career path, financial mishap…)? Or have they been stumbling blocks you’ve run into all on your own (miscommunication, misunderstanding, mistrust…)? How have you worked together to get over your hurdles? What have you learned that going to help you avoid trouble in the future? No relationship is perfect. The best couples find ways to work together and move forward. (And beside, a love story without some conflict in it would be sappy and boring!)
  10. What does the future hold for the two of you? What are your hopes and dreams for the future? Does your partner share the same dreams? (Are you sure? Otherwise, repeat step 9!) Paint that picture of the future. What steps are you taking now to make it come true?

LOVE

IT STARTS WITH THREE SIMPLE WORDS

“This seat taken?” Or maybe yours were, ‘Half-caf, Ventiplease.” Or just maybe your story goes all the way back to something like, “U like Nick (Y or N)?”

Whatever those first words were, your love story started long before “I love you”. And we hope it goes on and on forever. With these 10 questions, you can create an album that tells your love story right from the start.

Were you struck by the thunderbolt or did love sneak on you gradually? tell the tale with all the romance, comedy and (hopefully not too much) drama. Come on, everyone loves a love story! And you’re going to love yours.

10 question ABOUT faithbooking

These questions will help you think about your life and how your faith has grown and developed. In this case, the questions flow more or less chronologically. As you read each question, pray, reflect and record where your thoughts take you.

**** REMEMBER***

YOUR BOOK, YOUR FAITH: This chapter and the questions it contains are rooted in the Christian faith A billion people in the world share that faith. But billions more passionately follow other religions. Even within the Christian traditions there are countless variations and nuances. So while I fervently believe in my road to God and will gladly tell anyone all about it, our purpose here is not to convert you. Take these questions and shape them to fit your experience. Please don’t let the fact that the question aren’t worded to perfectly fit your faith keep you from taking this truly valuable journey!

– Rhonda
